A message from Paula:

Well, it's been a long and winding campaign. We've reached out and connected with a lot of people over the last year. And we did it on our own power, just as real Republicans do it. We ran a campaign without underhanded politics and negative attacks. And I am very proud of the campaign we ran. Unfortunately on Tuesday we just came up a little short. But the support we got from both sides of the political community has been completely amazing. So many people kept telling me "I can't help you in the primary election because I am not a Republican, but I'll definitely support you in the general election". We had yard signs in both Republican AND Democrat homes. I promise you I will not forget that, and I thank you all so much for that support.

From the bottom of my heart, I would also like to thank everyone who has called me to express their feelings about the Primary results. It has meant a great deal to me. I have been getting calls from candidates and other elected officials; again both Republicans and Democrats. I am humbled by this outpouring. I am also humbled that although the Primary election has now past, and we did not win, paulamullis.com continues to be visited by more and more people every day.

So what does all this mean? Very simple. This is not even CLOSE to the end. This is merely the beginning. They say a journey starts with one step. That step may not have been in the direction we were all hoping for, but my friends no one ever said that journey would be short. I've made a promise to many people as I went door-to-door all over District A. And I intend to keep those promises, even if it's not as an elected official. The calls of support I've gotten has shown me that our fight has just begun.

It's still all about bringing people together, and doing it the Republican way; with honor and dignity. And we're still going to work on bringing the community together. There's a lot to do. So keep an eye on this website. We've got some changes coming. And don't forget my name, because you will be hearing it again; much sooner than you think.

I also again want to thank everyone who supported me during the election, and promise that you are the ones I will also not forget.

Sincerely,
Paula Mullis
